I take my car to the local dealer's service center, and they find a problem totally independent of the reason I took it in, and give me a quote to fix. Good -- they're looking out for me! I would, however, like to try out my dad's favorite garage, so yesterday I take the car to Meridian Auto. I document everything the dealer told me, and ask them to give me a quote on fixing the problem. Near the end of the day, I get a call on my cell. "We checked the area you pointed out, as well as all over the car that would be even remotely related to the problem described. Your car's in great shape -- no service is necessary, so you're free to go, Mr. F. We hope we can help you out next time." Honesty and integrity -- Meridian Auto is in the business for the long haul.
